As Client Manager Lauren Garrity helps individuals, private companies and other organisations build profitable businesses. What stands this Chartered Accountant out from the crowd is that she also runs her own business!

Lauren is passionate about coaching businesses to understand their financials and financial needs. She is making her expertise available to Tauranga Startup Weekend participants, and tells us why here.

Tell us a bit about your dealings with the entrepreneurial world so far Lauren?

I have worked as a senior accounting advisor along with Michelle Malcolm at Crowe Horwath for nearly ten years. My clients come from all walks of life including; Property Investment; Retail; Hospitality; Agri – Bloodstock.

My partner and I have bought a local business (Latitude 37) in the hospitality industry which is growing year on year.

I believe the most important aspects for an entrepreneur to consider is getting the foundations right, realising the work involved, and the importance of using specialists for help where needed at the beginning of the journey.

Tell us a bit about why and how you can help?

I can help by bringing my skill set developed through working as a Chartered Accountant to help businesses develop and grow. I get excited about helping my clients ideas come to reality and teaching them along the way so they can improve their business and financial skills. At TGASW I can help entrepreneurs develop business financial models, show them how they can get the most out of their funds and also make them think about all aspects and costs involved in and around the start-up phase.

Tell us a bit about why you think TGASW is a good thing?

I think Tauranga Start Up weekend is a great event for entrepreneurs to get the support they need, get connected with specialists in the industry and learn more about what is involved.

Come and meet Lauren and other exceptional business mentors on September 23-25 - Secure your spot here
